Who's Behind This
and WHAT she does...
My name is Andreea and I am the one (wo)man band behind websmart.me. When I’m not designing awesome websites, I am doing lots of other interesting stuff, such as running my weird encyclopedia website (weirdopedia.org), drawing, traveling and hunting for beautiful and interesting things to feed a mind.
I am also a mom, trying to pass my design skills and passion to my extremely curious, smart, 10 years old son. He’s already pondering following mom’s footsteps, that or being a “rockolog” whatever that is.
Now that I reassured you of my appartenance to the human race, you can read about the Web design related things I do below.
Graphics
the PRETTY side of things
I love creating my own graphics and taking the time to achieve pixel-perfect layouts, ready to be turned into great, functional websites both my clients and their visitors will enjoy using. My non-conformist style can also be tamed and produce well-behaved layouts a serious website requires. While I prefer to work in neutral shades of color, I have no problem turning a rainbow color scheme into the most beautiful series of bytes you’ve ever seen.
Coding
the MAGIC side of things
After many years of producing smart, highly functional websites, coding my layouts still fascinates me. I never give up when trying to achieve the most impossible effects and I love experimenting and taking on new challenging ideas. I fearlessly use HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript to turn my graphics into powerful, beautiful, cross-browser websites that my clients can administrate on their own with great ease.
What Else? Oh, Yes!
I love WORDPRESS...
That’s why I build all my websites on it and recommend it to all my clients and friends. Long gone are the days when WordPress was just a blogging platform. Along the years I created directories, membership, e-commerce, portfolio and business websites with it and could never imagine switching to another CMS.
So this why a lot of things I do revolve around WordPress: PSD to WordPress, HTML to WordPress, creating custom WordPress themes or modifying your existing one, WordPress installs and updates, plugins setup or just WordPress consulting.
My clients love it too, and they find it very easy to maintain and administrate their websites in a smart, user-friendly environment.
